If you’ve subscribed to my blog for any amount of time, you know I have things to say. A lot of things. Possibly too many things, depending on who you ask. Ken would probably say too many things.
For a while now, the blog has been my outlet – travel stories, drinks culture, the occasional underground communist toilet. And I’m going to keep writing it exactly the way I have been. But I’ve decided to add something new: a weekly newsletter called The Weekly Twist.
Here’s how it works. Blog subscribers keep getting what they already get – the latest post, straight to your inbox, same as always. But now there’s more.
Subscribe to the newsletter and you get a link to the most recent post plus an exclusive section called The Twist that never appears on the blog. A drink worth finding and the story behind it. A sharp observation from the road that didn’t make the cut. A peek behind the curtain at what’s coming next. It rotates. It’s short. And if I’m doing my job right, it’s the best thing in your inbox that week.
You have to opt in – apparently there are rules about these things, and I’d rather not upset the Internet email police. So this one’s your call.
If you’ve ever thought I wish Kirsten would just tell me what to drink – this is exactly what you’ve been waiting for.
Signing up is easy. Just drop your email in the box below. No spam, no ads, no sharing your information with anyone. Just the blog, The Twist, and me.
Cheers, Kirsten

Done. I am enrolled 😀
My apologies for missing out – when existing in a serviced studio on a pension , many things unfortunately are a no-no 🙁 ! Shall be enjoying those ‘free’ !
Everything is still free – I don’t charge anything for any of my words!
Kirsten – just found this in my spam folder! My apologies > during the past half-year three of my blog friends have gone over to signed up added posts to get a little extra income for their work and knowledge. I presumed you were the fourth 🙂 ! Have naturally put my name down also – thank you!
I just signed up – although oddly I think I already got one of these emails earlier today? The one recommending Guinness and Jamesons for St Patrick’s Day?
Yep, that’s the one. After consulting with the internet legal wizards, I ended up just importing my subscriber list to the newsletter. Totally legal as long as I’m not selling anything.
Honestly, it’s been a bit of a shit-show trying to figure out the web development stuff. My wheelhouse is history and words, not code! 😂
