Thankful for a day at sea today, as Anna is recovering slowly from the ickiest of icks. Knock on wood, no more symptoms, so we’ve been released from isolation. She’s still pretty green around the gills, though, so we’re doing a lot of resting and reading. And watching bad movies in our room. Btw, Aquaman? Woof, was that awful.
I suppose I could go to ab-blasters or hot yoga, or something called sound therapy this afternoon, but that sounds even more awful, so reading in the shade, it is!
The sea is the most active it’s been since we started the cruise. We can definitely feel the boat moving today. Abandoned our scopolamine patches on day 2 because of the side effects – brutal dry mouth and sore throat. I think we have our sea legs now. No issues with sea sickness. Other sickness, sure, but not sea sickness.
Got Anna some sorbet from the ship’s gelateria this afternoon, which she said hit the spot. Convinced her to venture out for dinner. She had some plain rice and two bites of plain chicken. Forward progress.
Another spectacular sunset tonight.
St. Tropez tomorrow – hoping Anna will feel well enough to get off the boat for a while.

Travel date: June 17, 2025

Just catching up, hope you’re both feeling better and can enjoy the rest of your trip! Maggie
Great to “see” you, Maggie! Whatever it was Anna had on this trip – it did NOT want to let her go!!
Sound therapy? Heavy metal on headphones?
Terrifying, right?? The possibilities were endless. TOO endless.
I may well have done it, just to find out…
😂😂😂
Paroled from germ jail. Ahhhh. Nothing better.
Germ jail – now that’s a good turn of phrase! 😂
Expensive, frustrating ‘being there’ – Hope you get a few decent days and am sorry you missed Barcelona !!!
I’m sorry about missing Barcelona, too. This is one of those trips where I test my “stay flexible” mantra. 😉
