🛳️ A Day at Sea, Part II: Released from Isolation

Thankful for a day at sea today, as Anna is recovering slowly from the ickiest of icks. Knock on wood, no more symptoms, so we’ve been released from isolation. She’s still pretty green around the gills, though, so we’re doing a lot of resting and reading. And watching bad movies in our room. Btw, Aquaman? Woof, was that awful.

I suppose I could go to ab-blasters or hot yoga, or something called sound therapy this afternoon, but that sounds even more awful, so reading in the shade, it is!

The sea is the most active it’s been since we started the cruise. We can definitely feel the boat moving today. Abandoned our scopolamine patches on day 2 because of the side effects – brutal dry mouth and sore throat. I think we have our sea legs now. No issues with sea sickness. Other sickness, sure, but not sea sickness.

Got Anna some sorbet from the ship’s gelateria this afternoon, which she said hit the spot. Convinced her to venture out for dinner. She had some plain rice and two bites of plain chicken. Forward progress.

Another spectacular sunset tonight.

St. Tropez tomorrow – hoping Anna will feel well enough to get off the boat for a while.
