Edradynate (Perthshire), Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

First: I hate the way IG crops my pictures.

More than a wee bit windy today. 🌬

Sartorial decisions: I’ve gone full Scottish Highlands today. Apparently, I should be wearing olive green so I don’t scare the pheasants. My coat is blue. So I’m scaring the bejesus out of the pheasants. Also breaking in a new pair of wellies (that’s what we call them here in Scotland). Need to get some good mud on them so they don’t look so new.

Went with the shooters out to Edradynate Estate in Perthshire this morning. It’s a working farm as well as a hunting estate. Spectacular scenery. Wandered off to take pictures. Super glad I had my wellies. Sheep poop and mud everywhere. Boots look much better now, though. Tried to get close to a herd of sheep to take photos, caused a stampede. Had to be stealthy instead. Found a few Scottish Highland coos (cows). I can’t even with how handsome these guys are.

Shooters had a phenomenal time shooting clays. Pheasants everywhere on the estate. Gorgeous birds. But they don’t hold still for photos. Must be my blue coat. Took this shot from the car window with my zoom lens.

Made friends with the best dog – a Bavarian Mountain dog named Gem. Had never heard of that breed before, but what an utter love. Have already told Ken we need one.

Traditional Scottish roast dinner tonight. We had a private bagpipe concert before dinner. Bagpipes are absurdly loud. But I have a deep appreciation for the skill involved in playing them.
